To build a node for either meshtastic or meshcore you will need to go buy some hardware first. This page will soon(tm) contain some information about some of the nodes I’ve built and tips and tricks from others who’d be into the meshy side of things running on potato hardware 🙂
Sourcing the hardware
Boards
Most of my nodes /repeaters etc. are based on the RAK wireless board system and the Heltec v3/v4 boards.
Solar panels
For solar powered nodes you’ll want to get some good and reliable solar panels. I will link some good sources for cheap and good panels soon!
Batteries, holders and BMS
Good old 18650 can be gotten at numerous places. I get mine either from tinytronics or nkon. Be sure to get some battery holders and some bms boards
